Campaign of the Year and it’s one of ours.

Last night was the Travel Marketing Awards and we are over the moon to have won Campaign of the Year for work that we did with Kuoni, the luxury travel specialists.

The aim of the brief was to demonstrate that Kuoni did more than just Maldives holidays. They’re a very special part of Kuoni’s offering, but their skillset and product range is much wider than that, encompassing Europe, East Asia and Africa too.

At the heart of the campaign was a TV ad that went out in the turn of year period. Traditionally, this is a fiercely competitive time for travel companies, so we knew that we needed an idea that would give us genuine standout. We bought director Luke Losely onboard to bring to life a script we had that demonstrated Kuoni’s ability to deliver Travel Out of The Ordinary.

The script called for a swimmer to start in the Maldives but find herself in a variety of different destinations. Using a plethora of techniques and stylisations such as stills photography, parallax layering we made 2D images come alive in a 3D world. It also involved an in studio green shoot (without water being involved) to show our swimmer moving through these different worlds.

The TV was supported by press, digital, VOD, social media and POS in all of Kuoni’s stores. It was the biggest turn of year campaign in Kuoni’s history and delivered results for them too with bookings for non Maldives holidays rising dramatically.

We didn’t just deliver Travel Out of the Ordinary, we delivered a campaign with some extraordinary results for Kuoni too.
